Svein Magnar Hansen

Svein Magnar Hansen graduated as a Psychology major at the University of Bergen in 1978. He became a Specialist in clinical psychology in 1983.

He has more than 35 years of experience in working with children, especially children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental disabilities, Conduct disorders and Delinquency.

Svein Magnar Hansen founded The Institute for Psychological Counseling in 1984. He is a board member in the board of directors in several organizations, and was Chairman of the board of directors in the TIPO organizations from 1998. He is now the CEO of the TIPO organization.

Svein Magnar Hansen was in the early seventies part of the founding body of NAFO, the Norwegian interest organization for Applied Behavior Analysis, – which is now the worlds largest ABA organization per capita. In the early eighties he was a member of the Science Committee of The Norwegian Psychologist Organization.

Svein Magnar Hansen was for several years part of the Board of Editors in the scientific journal Behavioral Interventions, with Professor Richard M. Foxx as editor. Hansen has conducted 300 lectures and seminars throughout Scandinavia relating to Applied Behavior Analysis.

Svein Magnar Hansen has been appointed Expert witness for the Norwegian Judicial system on 145 occasions, amongst others for the Norwegian Supreme Court. He has published several scientific papers, and received several grants. He is a guest lecturer at Akershus University College.
